No trip to India is is complete without Mumbai . Mumbai is a stunning paradox of hope , chaos and madness that's why I decided to write a blog about Wonders of Mumbai .

According to me Mumbai is the best place not only for travel but also to live in  .

1) Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus

If you have been or want to visit Mumbai you will definitely have to see this great Monument .

So let's first walk you through the history about this Historical Railway Station . Yess..!. Historical Railway Station because it is the most oldest railway station

Originally it was called Victoria Terminus or in short  V.T. It took almost ten years to build this jaw dropping Structure

The imposing building contains domes , stained glass , spires and stained glass with remarkable intricate designs .

2) Marine Drive

Marine Drive is the place which is suitable for all types of people . It is the romantic place for the couples , chilling place for boys and girls , great time spender for Dada's and Dadi's .

Extension to Marine Drive there is the place Girgoan Chowpatty which is also the best place to chill and for foodie like me the small dhabas which attracts attention of food junkies .

Marine Drive is now also known as Queen Necklace for a reason , in the evening  when we take a view from the top is literally looks like Diamond covered Necklace.

3) Gateway of India

Gate Way of India is the most popular tourist attraction in all of Mumbai . Although now this monument serves mainly as a tourist attraction but in the past it was the landing spot for the British in the Harbour of Bombay.

It was the first thing anyone arriving by boat would have seen of Mumbai that is why it look majestic to visitors of the country .

On each side of the arch are great halls that can hold up to 600 peoples but visitors are restricted from actually entering there . It also contain four turrets and intricate latticework carved into yellow basalt stone in Indo-Saracenic style.

Boats depart from here to Elephanta caves which are yet another popular tourist attraction.

4) Taj Hotel

Taj hotel located directly across the Gateway of India .It was the one of the places attacked by terrorists in Mumbai in November 2008 .

Sad history aside , Taj Hotel looks great not only from outside but from inside it's look like a palace .

The sculptured glasses , the long hall way just off the lobby with pictures of all the famous guests and memorabilia from over the years  . Also is the lobby is a fountain and a Monument with the names of all the peoples died in the Hotel in the attack.

The hotel consists of 560 rooms and 44 suites and consists of fine - dining option for the Indian , Middle Eastern , Chinese and Japanese Chinese.

If you are interested in one of the most beautiful and grand landmark of Mumbai , then Bandra Worli Sea link is the one .

The magnificent land mark and it is the first bridge in India to be constructed in the open Sea condition .

It has a unique design and it became the part of the Western Freeway Sea project for a better road network of Greater Mumbai .

It is officially called as Rajiv Gandhi Sea link , is an 8 lane , 5.6 km long which connects Bandra and Worli , that is why it is called Bandra Worli Sea link.

One can take taxi to the Linking Road which is popular street shopping for plenitude choice of cosmetics, shoes , clothing and bags .

6) Siddhi Vinayak temple

India is a country of spirituality and workship . There are many temples in Mumbai but Siddhi Vinayak temple located at Prabhadevi is the great temple for various reasons.

It is two hundred years old and the devotees believe that Lord Ganesh here fulfills their desire for his workship .

Earlier , Siddhi Vinayak temple was a small building highlighting the black idol of Shree Siddhi Vinayak which is carved out of stone . It was only two and a half feet wide then recently it was reconstructed and been built into unique six stored construction . The top of temple is clad with a golden dome which  dazzles brilliantly in the sun .

The most remarkable feature of this idol of Lord Ganesh is that , his trunk is tilted to the right side and the idol has four hand which is why it is called as Chaturbhuj .

It is the great looking temple in Mumbai which is anytime worth paying a visit.
